Great 2 in1it's really ok. not the very best at actual bristle stiffness, which is what's most required... but it works. for the price, keep itThis works great cleaning the iron skilletThis is a great power scrubber! Perfect for safely cleaning even the hardest caked-on food and sauces. It's easy to hold and has different scrubbing edges to clean off all aspects of the skillet.It's well-crafted and sturdy- the brush fits comfortably in my hand and the bristles do a great job of removing the debris from the pan. After several heavy usages the bristles are all still in-tact and look good as new. I feel confident it will hold off to lots of usage in our household!I especially liked the addition of the magnet within the scrubber body! That's a genius addition and especially helpful for easy storage with my cast iron skillet in the pantry. They're always together now! The magnet is not especially strong but it was able to hang on to skillet snugly when I had to standing up on a shelf in my pantry.The only thing I really disliked about this tool is that the black plastic coating felt very sticky and unappealing upon receipt. I can only describe it as the coating seemed like it was unfinished or breaking down. I had to wash it a few times and even once in the dishwasher until that 'stickiness' went away before using it. Now it is fairly 'broken in' but that was still was an unpleasant discovery on a brand new item.For the price, I don't think you can do any better.That being said, the scraper is plastic and doesn't do a good job to scrape anything off the iron, so you'll need a secondary utensil to properly clean it.As for the bristles, they work quite well! Everything came off easily, so no issues there. It could be used as a produce scrubber as well.The handle, while made of a thick plastic, has a nice rubberized exterior texture to make sure you get a good grip and avoid your hand slipping. Because of the size, if you have small hands you might want to avoid it, but the grip could make up for that.If the scraper were good, it'd be a great product. It still holds its own for everything else, but know you'll need two things to clean your pan.I got this cleaning brush for my cast iron pans because I usually have always bunched up a piece of foil to scrub off any food. This works pretty well scrubbing off any food of course using hot water helps to loosen up any stubborn areas as well as the back of the brush has a flat flap to use for scrapping. The grease does stick to the plastic pretty good so I am ending up having to clean the brush itself with soap. I posted a before and after picture to give a better idea of the results.We have what seems like a literal a ton of cast iron pans. Most of them are vintage, and most of them have been carted all over the United States as we move from job to job. There was a time when I thought we could benefit from some sort of easy clean, easy move, pans, but the cook in the family informs me there's nothing like cast iron.Nothing like cleaning it, either. He does the washing (if he doesn't like how I do it, it's his job), and that is such an ordeal that those pans sit on the counter developing into an ecosystem. Until this brush. He was dubious, especially after I told him reviewers said the handle was too short, but upon arrival, he was an immediate convert.He says the firm bristles are firm enough to clean, but not abuse, the cast iron. The handle is short enough to give you good control and really clean the corners (which makes me super happy, because there's something about "vintage" cast iron that's seriously scary). And the cushioned brush handle is comfortable to hold. He's sold, and I"m happy that the pans actually migrate quickly from dirty to what is probably the cleanest they've ever been.This works great, is well constructed, and is easy to keep clean. Not only does it do a good job on the cast irons (which I usually try to not scrub, but sometimes you just have to), but it is good on other items, as well. The price is fantastic, and it is also visually appealing - you can leave it at the sink without it making things appear clutter or dirty. No issues with it whatsoever and I would buy again.
